Project 3 Paintings

Option 1Image

Artisit : Leonardo De Vinci

Titile : The Last Supper

Year : 1495-1498

History : The Last Supper measures 460 × 880 cm (15 feet × 29 ft) and covers an end wall of the dining hall at the monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Italy.

Plan : Well… with religion being such a touchy subject and I don’t want to offend anyone with my idea.  So, I will discuss my idea with the teacher privately.

Option 2

Image

Artist :  Edward Hooper

Title : Nighthawks

Year : 1942

History : Nighthawks is a 1942 painting by Edward Hopper that portrays people sitting in a downtown diner late at night. It is Hopper’s most famous work and is one of the most recognizable paintings in American art.

Plan : I would end up changing to a Zombie attacking scene, I have a few ideas for how to lay it out.  But will not get into detail until the follow up blog with my preliminary sketches.

  1. Hey Keith! This is a good point to bring up 🙂 I think that it is a great idea to think about what might be discussed in critique. In the end, I think both are good starting places. You’ll just want to make sure that you are prepared to talk at critique! Good luck!
